About Me

My name is Sebastian Ghosh, and I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, a place I am lucky to still call home. On one side of the family, my mom is Australian with French and German parents; on the other, my dad is American with Indian parents. That background has given me the chance to travel widely, work across continents, and develop relationships in many parts of the world. I am also very fortunate to hold citizenship in the US, France, and Australia.

I graduated this past May from Hamilton College with dual concentrations in Economics and Sociology, and as a two-year captain of the Men's Soccer Team. Along the way, I have researched and helped scale businesses in the US, Asia, and Australia, gaining exposure to departments like FP&A, equity research, business operations, customer support, fraud prevention, payments, supply chain, and GTM strategy. I have also worked across industries such as software, consumer hardlines, flavor & fragrance manufacturing, mining, and consumer-facing tech. Senior year, I wrote a thesis on tech company lifecycles, interviewing founders, C-suite executives, and investors from seed-stage startups to major tech giants.

These experiences have given me strong foundations in financial modeling, data analysis, customer insights, strategic planning, and business development, as well as helping me realizing what drives me most: a deep passion for research.

As I begin my career, I am exploring opportunities across Equity Research, GTM, Growth, and PMM where I can leverage my background, skills, and love for research. To develop my experience and learn further, I am writing frequently about companies and thematic trends, working on various projects, and creating financial and data-driven models.

I'm always looking for new ways to merge my passions for qualitative and quantitative analysis. Please reach out if you would like to talk more about anything relating to tech or startups.
